How to: Draw objects
This tutorial demonstrates how to draw objects. You will also learn how to select, modify and move objects.
There are five different basic object types: rectangle, rounded rectangle, oval, text and links.
To create an object select one of tools by clicking it. You can then use it for drawing.
Click object to select it. You can move the selected object by dragging
Multiple objects can be selected by clicking each object when Shift key is down. You can also select several objects holding left mouse button down while moving.
Use the solid handles around the object to resize it
You can Drag & Drop object directly from toolbox. In that case hold the left mouse button down and release when ready.
Objects can also be created with popup menu. Right click for the popup menu.
Usually pointer tool is automatically selected after object is drawn. Pointer tool is used for selecting and resizing.
If you want to use the same object tool for several times hold the Control key down when selecting it.
If you select several objects at the same time one of the objects has solid dark blue handles.
You can change the position of solid handles by clicking one of the other selected objects.
After selection you can use options in format menu to position the objects
For example you can make the objects same size or aligns the horizontal position of the selected objects.
The object with solid handles is used as reference. Values are copied from that objects to other selected objects.
Select object and choose properties if you want to modify objects appearance.
In properties window you can f.e. change the style and color of selected object(s).
There are several ways to show the properties window
Double click, Format / Properties, PopUp menu / properties, Press F4 or simply start typing when the object is selected.
